Do a little bit of investigating on line before getting there, understand public transport and location. It helped a lot to be able to walk to and from the Stadium from the Hotel.
Everything went as smooth as possible and we couldn't have wished for a better experience. The flight, hotel and the match itself were all amazing, as was Barcelona itself. Everything was very slick and worked to plan. I was expected at the hotel and vouchers worked well with the flights. Match day was great - largest crowd I have been in at a game - and Barcelona staff were helpful. Was pleasantly surprised by my seat which gave a very good view from behind the goal. Football Break representatives helpful in advance though did not need during my stay. As a first time visitor to the Camp Nou for a game it was the right decision to go with an inclusive package. Barcelona is a great city and I look forward to returning soon.
Do your research. It is helpful to know the best way to get from the airport to the city. I used the train and bought a T10 ticket which covers ten journeys on the train, metro and bus.

My tip would be make sure you book a later flight, allowing yourself a bit longer to explore the city!!
This is the second time that I have used football break. First time was Madrid v Juventus and this time Barca v Atletico. Both times I would highly recommend using football break. The flights were on time, easy to check in and even arrived early!! We booked a 4 star hotel which was excellent, small hotel but a very friendly atmosphere in an excellent area with warming staff. Only downside was that the hotel was a 10-15 minute walk from the metro station but that can't be helped. We booked category 2 tickets and the seats were good, in the corner behind the goal, we recipe bed a free barca flag in the ground which had a stunning atmosphere throughout the game. The match tickets were waiting for us when we got to the hotel and there were no problems checking into the hotel. We stayed for 3 nights, bought a 4 day tourist metro pass (unlimited journeys) for around £26. Very cheap considering how many journeys we made. Barcelona is a stunning city. Once again I would highly highly recommend this service!!
