Information about your transfer to the hotel and football stadium

Your trip is excluding transfers. Along with your travel documents, you will receive tailor-made directions. In them, we will tell you how to travel from airport to hotel and from hotel to stadium. Here we give you an overview of this information for the most popular destinations:

Barcelona

Barcelona El Prat Airport to your hotel With the underground, the transfer (depending on the hotel of your choice) will only take 25-40 minutes. The costs are between EUR 7 and EUR 10 pp.

A taxi will take you to your hotel in 20-30 minutes. A taxi ride costs EUR 25 to EUR 35. When you leave the arrival hall at Barcelona Airport, there will be taxi’s waiting.

To Camp Nou From the city centre it is only a few stops (15-20 minutes) to the underground stop Maria Christina. From here, you can walk to the stadium. As it will be crowded, we do not recommend taxi’s at this point. If you travel to the stadium well in advance of the game it is only a 10-15 minutes taxi ride which will cost you around EUR 10 in total.

London

From London Gatwick to your hotel We advise you to travel to the city centre by train (Gatwick Express). Tickets are sold in the arrival hall for around EUR 20 pp. per one way trip. The trains leave every 15 minutes. Travel time is 30 minutes. The train will ride to Victoria station. From there it is only a few stops to your hotel (10-20 minutes). At every underground station, you can buy a Day Travel card for the Underground which costs GBP 5-10. This allows you one day of unlimited travel through London city centre.

From London Stansted to your hotel From London Stansted we advise you to take the train to London city centre. The train station is located below the airport. The location is clearly indicated through signs. The Stansted Express runs between London Stansted and London Liverpool Street Station. Travel time is 45 minutes. Price for a return trip is around GBP 30. The trains run every 30 minutes between 5 am and midnight, and every 15 minutes during rush hour between 8 am and 4 pm. Please get off at Liverpool Street station. From there it is only a few stops (10-20 minutes) to your hotel. At every underground station, you can buy a Day Travel card for the Underground which costs GBP 5-10. This allows you one day of unlimited travel through London city centre.

From London Luton to hotel We advise you to travel from London Luton to the city centre by bus. The 757 Green Line service runs between London city centre and London Luton airport. Since recently, the buses run no less than 3 times an hour in both directions during daytime and most busses take the shortest and fastest route. You get off at Victoria or Marble Arch station. At every underground station, you can buy a Day Travel card for the Underground which costs GBP 5-10. This allows you one day of unlimited travel through London city centre.

To Emirates stadium (Arsenal) You can easily reach the Emirates stadium by underground. Arsenal (Piccadilly Line) is the closest underground station located at around a three minute walk from the stadium. The underground stations Finsbury Park and Highbury & Islington are quieter alternatives and are located at around 10 minutes walking distance. Depending on the hotel you choose, the underground travel time will be 10-25 minutes.

To Stamford Bridge (Chelsea) For the Stamford Bridge stadium we advise you to travel to underground station Fulham Broadway. From this station, the stadium will be within walking distance. Depending on the hotel you choose, the underground travel time will be 10-25 minutes.

To White Hart Lane (Tottenham Hotspur) For stadium White Hart Lane it is best to travel to underground station Seven Sisters and take the bus from this station to the stadium. You can also walk to the stadium (follow the crowd from the underground station). From Seven Sisters, this will take you around 20 minutes.

Depending on the hotel you choose, the underground travel time will be 10-25 minutes to underground station Seven Sisters (plus the travel time from Seven Sisters to the stadium).

Manchester

From Manchester Airport to your hotel We advise you to take the train from Manchester Airport to travel to the city centre (travel time around 20 minutes). Please get off at Piccadilly station.

A taxi to your hotel will cost around 20-30 pounds in total.

To Old Trafford (Manchester United) Old Trafford is located outside the city centre of Manchester. From the city centre there are undergrounds/trams that will take you to the stadium in around 15 minutes.

To Etihad stadium (Manchester City) The Etihad Stadium is located at around 20 minutes walking distance of Manchester city centre. There is a well indicated, safe route by the name of ‘City Link’. There are also plenty of buses that will take you to the stadium.

Madrid

Airport to hotel Taxi’s in Madrid are affordable. A taxi to the hotel costs around EURO 30 per journey. Another option is to take the underground to the city centre. The underground leaves from departure hall 2. We advise you to purchase a 10-trip Metro bus card (6,50 euro) that allows you up to ten trips within the city centre by bus and underground. The underground (pink line 8) travels in 12 minutes to Nuevos Ministerios.

To Santiago Bernabéu (Real Madrid) It is best to travel to the stadium by underground. Stadium Santiago Bernabéu is within walking distance of underground station Santiago Bernabéu. Depending on the hotel you choose, it will take you 5-20 minutes to get to this underground station.

To Vicente Calderon stadium (Atletico Madrid) Stadium Calderon is located within walking distance of the city centre and can also be reached via underground. Travel from underground station Piramides from where you can walk to the stadium.
