Travelled with my adult son to see his favourite club and player. The Nou Camp is a wonderful stadium. We had excellent seats (which I had upgraded) under the press box, and the atmosphere created by the fans was fantastic. We saw Suarez score at the start of the match and Messi score his 400th goal for the club in the final minute of the game.On the following day we did the stadium tour and the city bus tour.

The hotel in the Eixample area of the city was lovely and taxis to and from the stadium cost only 7 euros. The organisation of the trip took all the pressure off us. Neither of us had been on an organised trip like this before and didn't know what to expect. It was excellent and we plan to repeat. There is a tradition of fathers and sons having breaks like this but I can recommend it highly to mums and sons (or daughters).

Taxis in and around the city are quite inexpensive. If you taxi from the airport there is a supplement to pay

The whole package was easy to arrange and everything was spot on. We chose to go for the best seats, and didn't realise we had Area VIP seats and access to the VIP bar and buffet until we got to the stadium. What an excellent surprise!

Make sure you take the stadium tour if you haven't done it before.

This was my first time abroad as a single parent and I was feeling anxious at the thought of going, however... From the moment of booking I felt totally relaxed, safe and secure. The whole process of booking everything through football break made it so easy and the service was totally professional. Staff were helpful and friendly and the paperwork, itineraries, tickets etc were all in place when they said they would be, flights were on time and the game??? Wow!!! The stadium was amazing. There was no trouble and the crowds disseminated from the ground with ease. 92915 people were in the stadium that day and I was overwhelmed by this experience. I loved it. Barcelona has many fabulous buildings and the people were lovely. I wouldn't hesitate do go again and will definitely book through football breaks again.

Take a couple of extra days break if you can as there is so much to see and do and not enough time in a short weekend.

The whole package was brilliant and everything ran really smoothly, the football ticket were at reception on our arrival at the hotel and both of the flights went without a hitch. Overall a great service.

We stayed approx 10 minute walk from the stadium, the main bars are a cab ride away that cost approx €15. We were over charged on our taxi from the airport to the Hotel, we paid €50 per cab, on our return to the airport we had a taxi that accommodated all 6 of our party and we paid €50 in total.

A great weekend in the fantastic city of Madrid, with an easy-going long weekend, which gave us plenty of time to see the many sites. A fantastic football stadium (Santiago Bernabeu) with a fantastic crowd, good atmosphere and fantastic seats. The travelling was no hassle at all, and the metro services easy to use. The Football Break representatives on the phone were first class, and was a great hotel also for a cheap price.

Make sure to use metro to and from your hotel. Easy to use, very cheap and good deals on travelling and best way to get around. Taxi's cost around £30, depending on your exact location and can be a bit time consuming in large amounts of traffic. Make sure to do the Madrid city tour on the bus.
